Q: What are the features and benefits of an Energy STAR Qualified home?
A: An Energy STAR Qualified home will consume a minimum of 15% less energy than a home built to the current building code. Typical characteristics of an Energy STAR Qualified home include:

▪Effective Insulation - This makes for an even more energy efficient home by limiting the transfer of heat between the interior and exterior
▪High-Performance Windows - These windows are designed to meet higher standard of performance
▪Tight Construction and Ductwork - Lessening the air infiltration
▪Ultra-Efficient Heating and Cooling Equipment - Units that use less energy than the standard units
▪Energy STAR Qualified Lighting and Appliances - Further reduces energy consumption

Q: Where does Manning Homes build?
A: Most of our new home sales are in the Central Texas/Fort Hood area. We have, however, built numerous homes within a 70 mile radius of this area. Frequently, these are built for the owner on their site.


Q: Do you have experience with remodeling?
A: We have experience in both residential and commercial remodeling. We can help with the design of the remodeling and the remodeling construction. Bring in your ideas or plan and we will be glad to work with you.


Q: What type of warranty is offered on new construction?
A: Manning Homes is a member of the Bonded Builders Warranty Group. A sample Builders Warranty and Standards can be found at BondedBuilders.com.


Q: What if I already have plans?
A: If you have a plan with specifications and a location, we can usually provide construction costs and schedule by the next day. If you don't have specifications or a location, we can help you find a building site and/or produce specifications for you plan.


Q: What methods of construction is Manning Homes experienced?
A: We have experience with slab on ground, slab on piers, pier and beam and grade beam foundations. We have used block, stick framing, components, ICF (Insulated Concrete Form), and SIPS (structural insulated panels). We have experience with wood, steel, concrete and masonry construction.
